Joys of Indoor Gardening

This is a very interesting new hobby for me. The last few years I have just grown starters and tossed them into our garden. The wife and I noticed the growing season is just not long enough, and before we know it we are buying the same stuff we were growing from the grocery store again.
Once I built the stand for the seed germination and planted some seeds, my imagination went crazy with all the ideas on ways to grow these for indoor and outdoor use. I have also built a one lever light box that i should be able to have plants grow up to 6 feet in while still getting the light from the florescent lights that they need to grow and produce. Figuring out what lights to use was not hard, and learning that I can run these lights 12-14 hours a day for next to nothing is even better.

Recycling is one of our main things around our house. Along with recycling daily objects is a nifty thing, I cut a bottles that soda/pop came in and are using them as miniature greenhouses, and pots for the plants until it is time to transplant them into something larger.

Sadness

I found out I lost a good friend today. He was a great guy I talked, laughed, drank, and cycled with. He will forever be remembered in my thoughts and prayers, and live within my memories. The last time we talked we discussed myself riding for autism awarness in the name of his son, I have now changed that to the name of his son and in the memory of Jason Young.
I'm feel extremely honored that he took me for a cycling adventure on one of his favorite trails and across the open back roads of Ohio.
I truely do not have many people that will call me a friend, but he greated me and took me in and I am greatly appreciative for that. Jason was always and ready to lend a hand and give help when anyone asked for it. If I take anything away from our friendship it will be that! Always be willing to help and lend a hand no matter who needs it.
I'll miss you me friend. May you rest in peace, everytime I have a beer let it be known it is for you!

Through the eyes of a 3 year old:

Well I took my 6 and 3 year old sled riding for the first time this winter since we got some snow. I learnt two things:
1) a 6 yer old is willing and able to slide down a hill without a sled,
2) The 3 year old is a screamer when on the sled and he is having fun.

I decided to let my 3 year old wear my GoPro video camera while having a sled riding adventure.

You might find it boring but I think that perspective is an interesting look on life from what I do not remember as a child

DO NOT have your speakers turned all the way up... My son screams when he is excited!!!

Happy New Year

Well Looks like it is that time again to figure out how to write new numbers on all my paperwork and stuff.... I wonder how long it will take me this year to get it down to a science.

This year I will be putting myself on my bike more and shooting for longer distances, So I guess I will be training more often.

I will be entering into the MS 150 and doing the ride for Wheeling for Healing once again.

I will also have two different types of wine finishing up shortly.
