Joys of Indoor Gardening

This is a very interesting new hobby for me. The last few years I have just grown starters and tossed them into our garden. The wife and I noticed the growing season is just not long enough, and before we know it we are buying the same stuff we were growing from the grocery store again.
Once I built the stand for the seed germination and planted some seeds, my imagination went crazy with all the ideas on ways to grow these for indoor and outdoor use. I have also built a one lever light box that i should be able to have plants grow up to 6 feet in while still getting the light from the florescent lights that they need to grow and produce. Figuring out what lights to use was not hard, and learning that I can run these lights 12-14 hours a day for next to nothing is even better.

Recycling is one of our main things around our house. Along with recycling daily objects is a nifty thing, I cut a bottles that soda/pop came in and are using them as miniature greenhouses, and pots for the plants until it is time to transplant them into something larger.
